Polyurethane lining is considered a star performer in the wear lining business. With the hardness of a ceramic lining and many of the positive traits of rubber lining, it’s easy to see why this wear protection solution is attracting a lot of interest.
Polyurethane lining provides a strong form of defence against abrasions and impacts, usually caused by the movement of materials through an asset. This high level of protection means equipment stays operational for longer, boosting efficiency and productivity.
Polyurethane wear protection is resistant to corrosion and many chemicals, reduces noise and doesn’t tear easily. However, it’s important to note that polyurethane linings aren’t the best choice for every application. For example, this type of lining can be susceptible to wear caused by circulating water or slurry, and therefore may not be ideal for these applications.
